Privacy policy
What we collect when you contact us through this website, why, and what we do with it. We are a small auto glass shop — we collect as little as we can get away with.
Who we are
NS Auto Glass is a mobile auto glass business serving Grande Prairie, Clairmont, Sexsmith and Wembley, Alberta. You can reach us at (780) 318-3816 or nsglassgp@gmail.com.
Privacy questions are handled by the owner of NS Auto Glass. Call or email using the details above and ask for the owner.
What we collect
Only what you type into the callback form on this site:
- Your name — so we know who we are calling back.
- Your phone number — so we can call you back.
- Which service you need — so we can quote the right work.
- Your VIN, and only if you are asking about a windshield replacement — it identifies exactly which glass your vehicle takes. It is optional; if you cannot find it we will confirm it when we call.
We do not ask for your address, your email, your date of birth or your payment information through this website. If you email or call us, we have whatever you choose to tell us.
Our web host also keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. We do not use those logs to build any profile of you.
Why we collect it, and your consent
We use your information for one thing: to respond to the request you sent us — to call you back, quote the work, and book it in. We do not use it for marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone for their own purposes.
By sending the form you consent to us contacting you about that request. You can withdraw that consent at any time by telling us, and we will stop and delete your details, subject to any records we are required to keep.
Who else handles it
Our website and its form are hosted by Netlify, which stores form submissions and serves this site. Netlify is based in the United States and your submission is stored and processed there. This means it may be accessible to United States authorities under the laws of that country. Netlify processes it only to deliver the submission to us and to host the site — not for its own purposes.
Fonts and images on this site are served from our own server, so loading a page does not send a request to any other company.
If you have questions about information handled outside Canada, contact the owner of NS Auto Glass on the phone number or email address above.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies. It sets no cookies of its own, and because the fonts and images are served from our own server rather than a third party, nothing else sets one either.
There is also no analytics, no tracking pixel, no advertising tag and no social media embed on this site. We do not know who visits, and we cannot follow you around the internet.
Two links on this site point to Google — "Directions" and "Read all reviews". Nothing is sent to Google unless you click one, and if you do you are then on Google's website under Google's own privacy terms, not ours.
That is why you are not seeing a cookie consent banner: there is nothing to consent to. If we ever add analytics or advertising, we will update this page and ask for your consent first, before anything is set.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, plus whatever period we are required to keep business records. After that we delete them.
Seeing or correcting your information
Under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask for it to be corrected, and to ask us to delete it. Call or email us and we will deal with it. There is no charge for a reasonable request.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
Terms & conditions
The basis on which we quote and carry out work. Written to be read, not to trip you up.
Using this website
You are welcome to use this site to find out what we do and to contact us. Please do not attempt to disrupt it, submit the form automatically or in bulk, or use anything on it to mislead people.
Information on this site is a guide, not an offer
Timings, service descriptions and anything else on this site describe what we typically do. They are not a binding offer and they are not a promise about your particular vehicle.
In particular, "most rock chips are fixed in 15 minutes" is what we usually see. Some chips take longer, and some cannot be repaired at all and need the windshield replaced. We will tell you which before we start.
Quotes and prices
Any price we give you before seeing the vehicle is an estimate based on what you have told us. The final price depends on the actual glass your vehicle takes and the condition we find when we get to it. If the work is going to cost more than we quoted, we will contact you and get your agreement before carrying on.
Prices for windshield replacement depend on the make, model and whether the glass carries sensors or heating. We give you a price before any work starts.
Rock chip repair — what it can and cannot do
A chip repair stabilises the damage and stops it spreading. It is a repair, not a reversal: the chip will usually still be faintly visible afterwards, and we cannot guarantee that a repaired chip will never crack. Repair works best on fresh, small damage. If we do not think a repair will hold, we will say so.
Our workmanship warranty
Windshield replacements carry a lifetime workmanship warranty: for as long as you own the vehicle, we will put right leaks or wind noise caused by our installation.
The warranty covers our workmanship. It does not cover new damage from stones or accidents, damage from someone else working on the glass afterwards, rust or damage that was already in the vehicle's bodywork, or faults in the glass itself, which are the manufacturer's responsibility.
Full details are in Refunds & warranty.
Your vehicle and your responsibility
Please tell us about anything unusual with the vehicle before we start — previous glass work, existing rust, or aftermarket accessories fitted to the glass. We need to know what we are working with.
We will tell you the safe drive-away time before you leave. Driving before that time is at your own risk.
Limits on our liability
We are responsible for doing our work with reasonable care and skill, and nothing here takes away rights you have under Alberta consumer protection law — those rights apply whatever this page says.
Beyond that, we are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost income or the cost of alternative transport, and our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the work concerned.
Photographs and content
The photographs, logo and text on this site belong to NS Auto Glass. Please do not reuse them without asking. Customer reviews quoted on this site were left publicly on Google by the customers named.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada that apply there.

Refunds & warranty
What happens if something is not right. The short version: tell us, and we will put it right.
If our work is not right, we fix it
If something we installed leaks, whistles, or was not fitted properly, bring the vehicle back and we will put it right at no charge. That is what the lifetime workmanship warranty means, and it lasts for as long as you own the vehicle.
Call us on (780) 318-3816 as soon as you notice something. The sooner we see it, the easier it usually is to sort out.
Rock chip repairs
A chip repair stops the damage spreading; it does not make the chip invisible, and no repair can guarantee the glass will never crack later. We will tell you before we start if we think a chip is too big, too dirty or too old to repair well.
Services already carried out
Auto glass work is done to your vehicle and cannot be returned, so we do not offer refunds simply for a change of mind after the work is finished. What we do offer is to put right anything that is wrong with our work.
None of this affects your rights under Alberta consumer protection law.
Cancelling or rescheduling
Plans change and vehicles are unpredictable. Let us know as early as you can and we will move your booking.
What the warranty does not cover
- New stone chips, cracks or accident damage after the work.
- Damage caused by someone else working on the glass afterwards.
- Rust or bodywork damage that was already there before we started.
- Defects in the glass itself, which are the manufacturer's responsibility — tell us and we will help you pursue it.
- Damage from driving before the safe drive-away time we gave you.
Talk to us first
We would much rather hear about a problem than have you sit with it. Call (780) 318-3816 or email nsglassgp@gmail.com.
